17 Years
|12.Jan.2012January 14, 2012 marks 17 years married to Jeff. The photo above is framed in our bathroom. It was taken at his Basic Training graduation in Ft. Benning, GA, at the start of 2001. I love it. I was so happy to see him after all the weeks we were apart. More time apart was coming, but we reveled in those few hours we had together before he was shipped off to Ft. Sam Houston for AIT. And when I say reveled, I mean we kicked his mom (who flew in with me to see the graduation) out of the hotel room and got busy.
The note, “You are my everything” is one of many love notes I’ve written for him.
I switch them out here and there.
My love for him is highly vocal and demonstrative.
I love this man.
Oh how I love this man.

A belated congratulations to you both! So happy you all had a chance to get away and celebrate! Hey, saw your blog on PW this morning and it made me think of the the other parody book Goodnight Goon which my boys LOVE. Sadly it does not teach any valuable lessons like Goodnight ipad – but it is very entertaining! Our stance at night is to have story/reading time before bed, I find that it helps both our boys to sleep better. I’ve also found that allowing them to listen to soothing music on their CD players after lights out helps lull them to sleep like when they were little!
