I love these hands.

First a few words of explanation. OMSH will post her popular ‘WordPress Wednesdays‘ tomorrow—Thursday. See, she worked (again) late last night, got dang near no sleep, and I forbid her from getting on that stinkin’ machine of hers. She pleaded and pleaded to at least submit one post—but the response was an ironclad “NO.” She needs sleep and she needs to get over this cough/cold thing she has had for WAY too long. She was concerned about meeting her Blog 365 obligations…and this is where I come in; more specifically, this is where my attempt to post comes in. I can get away with posting for OMSH—we are married, and according to Scripture, we are “one flesh.” So it’s the same as her posting.

For those of you who are huge fans of WordPress Wednesdays and wish to submit a complaint about the compelled delay, please forward all these messages and comments to my personal complaint department. All representatives, however, are busy taking care of other callers. Please hold.

So, back to me and the purpose of this post. I now own a Harley. Hmm. What else. [thinking and scratching his beard] I think that’s it. That pretty much sums it up.

I would like to thank everyone for entertaining me during my first attempt to write a post. You have contributed in my decision to not have a blog (much to OMSH’s dismay). I am way TOO opinionated and vocal…I would alienate more than I would endear. I have this uncanny ability and strength to know that my way is the right way…I mean, why else would I do it the way I’ve been doing it? Or something of that nature. I am too black and white in my personal views and lifestyle; not terribly emotional and definitely not entertaining enough. Oh, and I almost never get diarrhea of the mouth long enough to fill enough space on a blank screen. How do you bloggers do it?

PS—the picture was taken at an earlier date, not tonight, in order to protect the innocent. OMSH is in bed…where I will be momentarily.

    Great post!

Ummm … seeing as you’re not busy blogging can you take over my complaint department? You just seem so eloquent and helpful *wink*

Love it! And nobody will see the forehead (which looks just fine to me!) under that helmet you will be sporting while enjoying your Harley, right?! Good for you sending OMSH off to bed…and it sounds like you have just the right amount of “emotional” if you are easing her mind by posting for her….that is endearing.

Maybe we’ll see you zipping by sometime on that cycle….we own a home in The Woodlands, though we live now in Beaumont(born and raised!) I just remembered that we have a Cowboy Harley dealership here! Wave if you ever pass by!!! lol

  • familymclean

Ha, ha sounds like you could be very closly related to my husband!

  • Claire in CA

L.O.V.E. that Harley, Mr. OMSH! Congrats on your new toy!

I’d say you had just enough diarrhea of the mouth to make a darn good post, too…

  • SAJ

Good for you Mr. OMSH! Get some rest Heather!

  • bethany actually

Oh Mr. OMSH! You did a fab job on the post. Yes yes you did. Now go make your honey some nice coffee and take it to her in bed.

  • Kristin

Make sure you let OMSH sleep as long as she wants. Sleep = heaven.
    :)

  • FireMom

I still haven’t let my Husband see the bike post. I told him I would on our 13th anniversary. ;)

(But then I told him about it and now he’s really curious and wants to steal the lapto…….

  • Jummy

So glad that OMSH has someone around to make sure she gets the rest she needs!

I’m a big WW fan but it’s far more important that OMSH be feeling 100% (or more!) than it be posted on Wednesday.

Besides, someone once told me that patience is a virtue.

  • Sue at nobaddays

Oh, he’s funny! No wonder she loves her some Mr. OMSH!

  • Atomic Bombshell

Oh wow, nice to meet ya Mr. OMSH! :D

  • mothergoosemouse

You’re an awesome husband, Mr. OMSH. And opinionated and vocal are definitely good qualities in a blogger. I think a few more guest posts might just convince you to start!

  • Marcie

    Ha ha.

Kudos on stepping in. Maybe you should make a regular monthly appearance.

  • Mrs. Wilson

great job Mr. OMSH! I wish my husband had taken over my blog365 role as I forgot one day … the world didn’t end though.

  • TheAngelForever

What a sweet husband to do something so nice for OMSH. Oh and your first post was very well done. See, you can make something out of nothing when you need to on a blog. . . not that any of us ever do that ;)

  • She Likes Purple

    What a nice husband!?

  • Jersey Girl

Thanks for taking care of Mrs. OMSH! You did a great job as “substitute host” of the blog!

  • Aileen

Tell OMSH to take it easy!! Get lots of sleep!!

    Nice Harley.

  • Dad

Mr. OMSH, you need to get off the computer … there are dishes to wash and clothes to fold; there are meals to prepare and kids to bathe; … oh wait, you have a Harley, don’t you. Think I can come over and look at it with you? The rest of that stuff can wait, Mrs. OMSH will be up in the morning.

  • OMSH

I’m hitting the hay early tonight again too – just exhausted. I might give in and go to the doctor now that the muscles in my neck are so sore from trying to cough up stuff stuck in some deep abyss in my body.

Oh and DAD – Um… nice support there chief. You forgot to mention TAKE DOWN THE CHRISTMAS TREE on that list. It is my goal to have it down before Bethany gets here around the 9th of February!

  • mamalang

Go to the doctor!!! Cause we love you and need our daily OMSH. (see I’m supportive and sensitive and bossy and selfish, all in two sentences :) )

  • Nicki

    Mr. OMSH,

You definitely should start a blog. Definitely. I would read it. I would even add you to my “Bloggin’ Dads” linkage. Come on, everyone’s doing it!

  • Mr. OMSH

So Nicki, what you’re saying is that if everybody jumped off a cliff….Oh sorry, that’s my upbringin’ coming out.

Thanks for all the wonderful words of encouragement. I was just trying to do what needed to be done for OMSH…and the rest of us in OMSHville.

I did get the green light from OMSH to post another (for real) post. It will be a surprise…simply hold on to your keyboards in anticipation. A parental advisory may be required.

OMSH did get some rest..but not yet quite (nearly) back to her old self.

Comment if ya wanna.
