Me, my, I

Writing an ‘About’ page is always a chore for me, but I don’t want it to be a chore for you, so I’ll be succinct…errm…maybe.

I am a web designer, but that’s only my side gig – my main focus is 3-fold: my love for, and faith in, the Lord; my love for, and devotion to my husband; and my love for, and commitment to, my 3 children. As with any working momma, my life is a discipline in balance, but I’m blessed by it and rise to the occasion every day.

Why do you want me to design your site?

I’m good at what I do and I enjoy it. In fact, I am ecstatic to earn my living this way. And I do “earn” my living, serving up my clients the best possible customer service, with timely correspondence, experienced suggestions, and consistent, high quality designs.

I design for WordPress.

WordPress is free. WordPress can (should) be self-hosted. WordPress is the only publishing platform I use for blog designs. WordPress isn’t just for blogs, I also use it as a content management system for regular (non-blog) websites. When I design a site using WordPress it is to my client’s advantage. WordPress allows the client to manage his/her own content, saving them both time and money.

I know my limits – you can trust me.

I didn’t get this far with a false understanding of my capabilities. I know what I can do and I know what I can’t do. Though I believe designers should always be reaching, I don’t believe we should do it at the expense of the client. If I can’t do what you want, I’ll tell you at the start or out-source that part of our project; either way, you can trust me to be transparent, honest, and straightforward.

*What is OMSH?

“OMSH” is short for Oh My Stinkin’ Heck. I quickly tired of writing “Oh My Stinkin’ Heck” as my username across forums, blogs, etc…so, I just became “OMSH”.
