Come 1,657 miles and get online with me.
|13.Feb.2008Bethany, Troy and Annalie drove, flew and drove some more just to sit at my table and login with me. Yep, we are internet addicts to the core.
Well, at one point Bethany worked a bit on her Valentine’s Day cards and JoJo made her feel right at home by laying all over them.
Annalie received the red carpet treatment by the kids.
Meredith made her a card and iced her a Valentine’s Day cake at her cake decorating class – “…just for Annalie”, she said. Kenny gave her a bit-by-bit commentary through entire videos (it drives us all insane, but she didn’t seem to mind it much).
Last night we were invited over to my parents’ house. Dad was out of town, but mom (Izzy) cooked for both of our families. I love visiting over a good meal.
I have been absolutely thrilled that Jeff and Troy got along so well, because that was probably my only slight concern; not huge, just slight.
It is a pretty frequent situation where one or the other of us likes one half of a couple, but aren’t too terribly crazy about the other. This time was different.
Of course, I had no doubt that Bethany and I would hit it off.
Nope, never a doubt about that one.
But these guys…they proved that they too are cyber geeks.

I’ll be uploading more photos to this set in the next few days.
I just hate that they are leaving tomorrow morning. As expected, the visit went by super fast.
I’ve just gotta say that this girl? She’s slicker than a goose poop y’all.
And her family? Fabulous.
I already want another visit.
Soon.

Wow, I’m slicker than a goose poop? What a compliment!
We’ve had so much fun! We will definitely come back. And y’all are welcome at our house anytime. :-)
Bethany

Aileen
I’m going to start telling people they are slicker than goose poop now. Starting with my MIL. :)

Glad that you all are getting on just dandy! Visits never last long enough when the good times are flowing.
Dad
I cannot believe I’m stuck in El Paso, Texas missing all the fun. At least I got to meet Bethany and Analie Sunday evening. And I got so say “Nice to meet you” to Troy as Jeff was leading him to the garage to meet “Harley”. Or is it “Hardley”, I can’t remember. Oh well, Bethany, Troy and Analie … really nice to have you with our family the last few days. Who says internet relationships never work out?
Nancy
Looks like a wonderful time. It IS nice when two couples “click” and an added bonus when the kids enjoy each other too.
Looks like some fun memory making years ahead of you!

Aww!!!
I love that photo reflection picture … quite a lot.
And the one of you and Bethany? Awesome.
Angella
You both are too adorable for words.
BOSSY
Such a sweet sweet connection.

Okay, I’m fairly new to your blog so I can’t figure out . . . did you two know each other before or just meet through blogging? Isn’t it cool how you meet people online and immediately think “I could be her friend!”
Although, I have to admit, I always think it’s a little weird when I hear about somebody running off for an “internet marriage.”

She Likes Purple
This makes me so happy. And I know EXACTLY what you mean about couples. I get to see Bethany soon!
Mr. OMSH
We are NOT cyber geeks. We were comparing the parity ratio of the binary encoding CODEC system within the traceable algorithm for the varying mySQL databases that all third generation hyperthreaded microprocessors run. We learned that Troy’s speed was 0.0000001 m/s faster. I plan to show him up next time after I upgrade the Ratheon XPS2000 graphics sidebus scoot-a-lator.
Geez. How offensive to be called a “cyber geek.”

Aileen – AAA-LEEN, I’m so glad that I know the proper way to pronounce your name now that you could call people purple people eaters and I wouldn’t mind at all!
Mayberry Magpie – We met less than a year ago online through my color swap group. She was coming through and I invited her for a stay.
Man, am I glad I did!
Thanks for all y’all’s kind words; this week was such a blessing.

Jeff, I am so glad you were there so I could get a break from having to talk to Troy about third-generation hyperthreaded microprocessors…he just can’t keep up with me in that field.
As IF! I have no idea what those are. I just asked Troy, “Do you even know what those are?” He said, “Third-generation hyperthreaded? Yeah.”
GEEKS. But as Heather said, geeks make the best husbands.

Please tell me that was gibberish. I swear that had to be gibberish. Mr. OMSH, honey, lovey-dovey, scooty booty, a “scoot-a-lator”?

I’m jealous. I wanna visit your highly internet savy folks. Mabye some of your technological genius would rub off on me. Not to mention I MISS hanging out with a friend that I can be myself around and don’t have to worry about what she will think. I already know you think I a goober, but you love me anyway. (or at least you put up a good front) Maybe this summer we can get together. I will be finished with my Masters degree in one week (YIPPIE HOORAY WHOOOO HOOOO)and by this summer I may see some of the fruits of my labor.

What a sweet narrative, and what a fun time! I love the photo of the cat on the Valentines. Sometimes when I play Go Fish with my kids our dog lies down on the cards so instead of telling each other to “fish” we say “go dog”.
