Family Vacation at The Lodge
|17.Jun.2010It has been nearly a week since we pulled up to The Pioneer Woman’s Lodge for a week long family vacation. The first afternoon was all about unloading,
divvying out rooms, and unpacking the refrigerated goods, as well as the boxes upon boxes of…
bread,
dry goods,
and cooking ingredients we brought with us to feed our family for a week.
After we all walked up and down this hallway one gabillion-jillion-thrillion times – and everything, and everyone, was sorted,
the rest of the early evening was spent sitting on the deck, sipping cold drinks and watching the cloud’s shadows move across the vast terrain that stretches out as far as the eyes can see.
Are you familiar with the passage from Psalm 50:10?
“for every animal of the forest is mine,
and the cattle on a thousand hills?”
When you’re here?
You’re not entirely certain it isn’t referring to this place.
This place has a rugged beauty – an altogether peaceful get-away,
perfect accommodations for my family of five and my parents.
Who in the world is that RUDE GIRL standing on the tub’s edge?
THAT my dear readers is proof I was here.
I think I’m going to get it blown-up and framed for Ree to hang in the master bath.

Explain please — May 29 2010 your kids meet grandparents in OKC for summer vacation in Mo — June 2010 your family (including kids?) have a week to spend at PW’s ranch in Okla — the girls make the photo-op at Wollaroc w/ PW’s girls — can’t be two places at once? I’m a native Okie w/ties to Osage/North Okla and follow Ree’s blog daily — love it all!!

Sara in OKC – OKC is the halfway point to drop off the kids with their grandparents for a 2-week vacation in Missouri. Two weeks later we met their “Poppy” in Pawhuska. :-) for a week family vacation at PW’s Lodge.
