Focus
|24.Feb.2008This photo was not taken today, not yesterday, not even a week ago.
This photo was taken April 5, 2005. We visited the Downtown Aquarium in Houston on Meredith’s request. It was her birthday family outing – she was turning 5.
Now, my youngest, Kenny, is 5.
Meredith turns 8 soon.
Time is flying.
This photo, though not taken today, served as a Tiny Moment to force me to focus, once again, on what is important.
I believe the reason that has become so hard lately is because I am stretched too far and wide. There are a few changes on the horizon…I sense it across blogland, don’t you?
Maybe we all need a bit of introspection – or maybe it’s just me.
Good night all.

Now you’ve made me all nervous… Mysterious intangible changes afoot in the atmosphere freak me out, just a little. Or a lot.
I hope you ping back in from your overstretchedness though, overstretched is never a good feeling.

Why is that making ME nervous as well– I’m pretty new to the bigness of the blogosphere…just beginning to connect here and there…and POOF! Changes?
Shannon
Change is in the wind that blow across the vast blogland. You can accept the change or you can get blown away by their winds. Change is good, though we may not always think so at the time.
Your little fishes in that big ocean…. kind of scary huh? My oldest is older and I worry about the sharks out there.
Enough metaphors there? Who knows where thoughts come from, they just appear.

I’m with ya.
Change is good. Being stretched too thin is not.

We visited this aquarium years ago and enjoyed it quite a lot. In fact, our first photo taken together (my husband and me) was at the restaurant on the upper level. This is a great shot.

Oh please don’t say that you’re going to be cutting back on posting or something else that leaves me without my daily dose of OMSH!! Like ukrainiac, I’m relatively new to the blogosphere but have already gotten attached to a few people – YOU being one of them. So please don’t do something rash like turning off your computer or something.
Loralee
I needed this post.
I am getting stretched too thin. Something is going to have to give soon, and it isn’t going to be my family.
(In other words, it isn’t just you.)

For everything there is a season and the seasons are changing.

Aww,,that is an awesome pic, you make such a difference in everyones lives here and there…but I totally understand putting things in perspective.
April 5..that is someones birthday:P
Mr. OMSH
Introspection….? Is that the new Denzel Washington movie? I think I’ve heard of that before. Hmm…let me think.
OMSH
Carole – Mer’s is the 6th. :)
Mr. OMSH – How do you make me laugh even when I’ve only had 2 hours sleep?
Bethany – Stretching IS SO wearing, yes. So very wearing.
SmockLady – It was YOUR fault that I’m singing “Turn, turn, Turn”!
Loralee – You either decide what gives or that something decides for you. Boy, have I learned that.
Kater- Not going anywhere – no worries.
She Likes Purple – We didn’t eat at the restaurant – we walked down the block to the Hard Rock Cafe, OF COURSE!
Mrs. Wilson – Although, it might be the only time I’ll ever be thin. Hmmmmmm…
ukrainiac – No need to worry – it doesn’t get you anywhere anyway *wink*

Did you know there were white tigers at that aquarium? Yeah. They don’t live under water though.
