Home Again.
|17.Feb.2008After about 6 1/2 hours on the road, and a weekend away from the family, it was good to be home, though I always leave Stacey’s company with a deep desire to return – and soon. We have decided to make it a 6 month tradition, meeting twice a year. It is hard being such a great distance from her, but surprisingly when we are together it never feels like we are racing to play catch-up. Sure, there are things that have to be explained and background that has to be given in the midst of some conversations, but I always feel like I’ve been with her the whole while.
Stacey’s the kind of friend I can be quiet with – and for a talkative person like me, that’s saying a lot.
Jeff and I watched a movie together tonight after I pulled-in, kissed the kids good night and unpacked. As usual, Jeff was asleep (If you ask him he’ll deny it and say he was “resting his eyes”.) before the movie was over.
Like I said, good to be home.
The giveaway/contest ends this evening and I’ll spend tomorrow reviewing all the flickr links and picking my favorite one for the prize. For all that participated in Heart Links and Gypsy Feathers, thank you. I’ve already looked at so many of the links and realized it isn’t going to be an easy pick – not in the least bit.

Sigh. All of your friend visits. I wish you and I lived closer. A six month meet up would be fabulous. What’s halfway between here and there?
Aileen a.k.a. Fred
Welcome back!! Glad to read you had a good time!! I’m actually near friends this time and I could be getting together with them more often (and should be). Maybe after the baby is born and during the summer when it’s warmer…

KERFLOP–I think halfway is Lubbock, Texas. How about meeting there. Ha-ha.
And OMSH, I was not asleep. Tell everyone that I posed for that picture. I can tell you everything about that movie “we” watched. The dude got his land back and the chick got hurt in the process. And the fiancee/boyfriend got the boot from the chick…or something to that nature. I would NOT have fallen asleep during one of our movie date nights. They are too precious of times to me. I love you in spite of my behavior(s).

Aileen – Warmer? In the summer I don’t want to leave my house even for a minute. Warm = Sweltering.
Kerflop – Don’t mind Mr. OMSH – he’s a goon. I have no idea what halfway would be. I’m thinking more than 6 or 7 hours though! For you, I shall fly!
Mr. OMSH – Really? Were you posing when you were snoring too?
Love you too baby.

My husband does that all the time too … must be a guy thing!
