In Memory - Memorial Day

In Memory…

|31.May.2010

There is no way to adequately say thank you to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives, or the families who lived on without them.

Still, I can’t let Memorial Day go without saying the words that seem so inconsistent with the depth of the loss – the service, bravery, and love of countrymen that marked the lives of the soldiers that went before me.

I have not forgotten that my freedom, and the freedom of my family, came with a price…

Thank you.

My cousin is in the American army and shipped out to Afghanistan on the 17th of May for a year (his second time over there). So scary, yet so proud of his bravery and willingness to serve his country.

    (That photo is adorable.)

I was looking through your archives and found this link and I thought it was wonderful. Though I have no family currently in the military I am from Augusta so I know many families connected to Fort Gordon. So thankful for all they do.

It’s a sad topic, I wish there could be more ways to help the veterans who made it out alive, but scarred inside. I feel deeply for them.

Comment if ya wanna.
