Though I would certainly say that this scene is a Daily Moment, it is a rare occasion when I can actually capture it in a photo. Here is Kenny, completely enraptured with himself over a made-up, nonsensical joke. Next to him is Emelie, closing her eyes and shaking her head – usually preceded by the rolling of the eyes. If you listen closely, you’ll hear a slight chuckle deep in her throat. Simultaneously she is laughing and trying to block out his ridiculousness.
She loves him so much.
And he loves her.
I am in a great deal of pain right now. I tweaked a nerve with the ongoing cough I have and cannot hardly move my neck or shoulders on the left side of my body. Every movement sends shoots of “owies” down my back, up around my ear, and down my left arm all the way to the tips of a couple of my fingers. This makes sleep, movement, walking, sitting, and everything else right next to unbearable. I’m taking narcotics Percocet and it barely takes the edge off…just enough to let me get sleep.
So, here’s a clue for anyone out there suffering from a cough. GO TO THE DOCTOR no matter how busy you are, because wow, you can do some severe damage with the force of your coughs over an extended period of time.
Who knew?
P.S. I haven’t been able to look at all the photos I requested yesterday, but please keep them coming on that comment thread…I’m gonna check them out later this evening. It’ll make my heart smile.

I love when you can look at your children and really tell they love one another.. its a nice change from the arguing and the ” i dont like you’s” we hear throughout the day! wow im really sorry your in such pain! and Hope that you get to feeling better soon! one time, my mom had a terrible cold and cough, I remember she went into the bathroom, sneezed and coughed, sending her over the edge of the tub and she hurt her back! for months she was seeing a chiropractor! get well soon! and I sure hope all the pics make your heart smile!

But on the flip side, when you’re coughing for 3 months straight, your abs sure do start looking decent. I’m just sayin’…

I do hope that you are feeling much better soon! Those nagging coughs are such a pain! If you can get to the chiropractor or accupuncturist, you might be able to get some immediate relief from the nerve problem – I was amazed when I went to the accupuncturist for the first time with pregnancy sciatica so bad I couldn’t walk back in 2005 – I was 95% better when I left his office after the first visit!
Love the photos of the kids! My oldest daughter at 8 does the same thing to her 5 year old sister!

Cute picture. That happens around here a lot. My son is the only second child in this house (my husband, myself and my daughter all being firsts), and it’s painful at times to watch him try to entertain us. :-)
I’m so sorry about your neck! My boy just had several dates with the chiropractor due to a cough causing him major neck pain. Hope you feel better soon!

I knew, I knew. I popped a rib right out of it’s cartilage from coughing. And I have a terrible pinched nerve right now with radiating pain down my left arm, also from coughing. I’ve only been coughing for a month. You think I should do something about it?

OMSH…. you need to take care of you first and foremost. If you aren’t healthy than how can you care for other? You don’t need to kill yourself. I want to to rest, see a doctor, and have hubby spoil you. You have it coming you, you bought the man a hog.

I’m so sorry you hurt yourself from coughing! :^( I have thrown my back out a few times and that pain you speak of is now something I have experience with. You have my pity.
I have heard of people breaking ribs from coughing fits. Crazy.
