Mice in the ice machine.

I have one child that is as anal retentive as I am. I love it.

This is the receipt posted on her dry erase “action center” on the refrigerator.

She owes her daddy $6.02 for … read closely now … FRZN PINKIE MO.

That would be Frozen Pinkies, or if you will, dead newborn mice. Mice she feeds weekly to her snake.

That’s what’s in my freezer. What’s in yours?

In other news, my recent preparations for next month’s Valentine’s Day has swept into the thoughts of my eldest. She has been assisting me in making the design for the Valentine’s Day Postcard Swap. The cards that we are designing are from her artwork. She’s going to help me mail mine out for the flickr group as well as give them out to her friends and mail them to several family members.

She is very excited about this – and I can’t help but get excited with her.

So, I’m clearing up the kitchen after dinner tonight and I glance over at her board on the fridge. I see she’s already started her list.

Remember lists?

I wonder how many of these will still be on it come Valentine’s Day?

The List

Snakes, odd little creatures. I had one in college, my best bud for three years, a ball python (named Monty), he found a new home when I moved an got a real job and lived where NO PETS were allowed; then when my oldest were little we got another snake for my son, a Texas Brown Snake, stayed small, ate earthworms, lived long and propered, until he died. I miss Farley, he was a good snake.

OH MY STINKIN HECK! I meant to comment the other day when I saw that snake! ACK! It’s so huge ;) and slithery and snake-like. *shudder*

  • OMSH

MMM it is actually quite small at the time, but can/may grow to be 6 ft.

    *gulp*

I knew it was small as I saw it against the child’s hands, but any snake is a BIG snake in these eyes ;)

My college housemates kept snakes. At least they did until my cat figured out how to get the screen off the top of the tank. She adored chasing the snakes around the house but my housemates gave up the reptilian pets after my cat ate three of them.

Comment if ya wanna.
