Mr. Money Bags
|4.May.2010Kenny has long since outgrown his “literal” stage, but I sometimes forget he has his Daddy’s personality and a flair for sarcasm; and just so you know, NO ONE ELSE IN THIS HOME suffers from this deviant abnormality – ABSOLUTELY NO ONE.
So, when I suggested he should figure out “how far his dollars could go”, I didn’t anticipate this…
or this…
or even this…
…though I should have.
Tucked away in his giggle, he says “Hey MOMMA, I didn’t realize they would go so FAR!”
Uh huh.
Riiiiiiight!
YOU ARE SOOOOO PUNNY!
If this isn’t evidence he is his “Father’s Son”, I don’t know what is – well, there’s also his precious little booty and irresistible smerk, but I digress.
I pulled aside a pile and said “OH! WOW! It all makes so much CENTS!”
And because he’s not the bundle of rolls and quishy goodness he was when I could still hold him securely with one arm, he laughed.
Man, I love this growing boy.
You can take that to the bank.

Love it! Tau’s (4) big deal at the moment is speaking in rhyming words … case in point the other night, he asked me to hold him tight as he drifted off to sleep. I did … and I few seconds later, he says (I could hear the smarty-pantsiness in the dark) … “Mom, your hug … is a bit too snug …”

Man Oh man. I can’t wait to see what he pulls on you when he is 12 :) Mine is hiding my keys from me. He loves to see me flip out since I personally loose them all on my own 80% of the time without his added help. Sarcastic, mischievous boys are at the top of my must have list.

very clever :)
i loved it when boy’s sense of humour was developing. he was such a card. it was especially funny when his humour was accidental. he’s got such a wry sense of humour now, a total delight. :)

My four year old buddy recently turned to his father while having a lively debate over the correct course of action the, ahem, video game should go, and said “this is going to end with you in the garbage can”. When I dissolved into hysterics at the sink buddy said “what’s so funny mamma”. Which only caused me to melt down further and wet myself. He was so SERIOUS.

That was hysterical! Haha, I know some kids who would do that….
