Circa 1976
|27.Jan.2007Remember the torn couch in need of recovery?
Well my mom quickly made a correction on my description of the couch. Where I remembered an orange and cream checkered pattern, she let me know that “In it’s previous life it was cream with an orange Oriental design … kinda overlapping squares with squares within squares, but definitely Oriental.”
And then she sent proof. This was the original fabric on the matching loveseat.
I’m so stinkin’ cute at age 4 if I do say so myself.
Please note the RECORD PLAYER behind my dad’s head. A RECORD PLAYER. I used to sit with my back against its Honda-sized box speakers and belt out Willie Nelson, Anne Murray, and my personal favorite at that age, Amy Grant.
Oh boy did I have it going on with “Father’s Eyes”

That EXACTLY describes ’70′s fashion…HIGH. :) But, couch aside, OMSH – you were a darned cute kid!

Love that cute picture!!!!
I used to sing, “It’s gonna take a lot of love.” It’s in my baby book, with the way *I* pronounced the words.

we had one of those radio and record players that was built in to the wall and intercom system throughout the house, even the front door. I loved that thing. but it was in an absolutely bad place – i ran into that thing so many times when it was folded out of the wall.
I still have a few old 45s; they even have the little yellow thingy in the middle so they could drop and play in a row.

Very cute picture.
I do not have an Amy Grant cassette in the trunk of my car.
I think it’s in the basement.
