Though I might not know all the inner workings of my camera (shhhh, don’t tell anyone), I do know a thing or two about how to best point and shoot – which is what I want to talk about today.

Anyone can participate in today’s lesson – whether you’re sporting a disposable camera (though you really should stop that) or you just invested more than my monthly income on a whole camera outfit.

There’s a little secret not all photographers will tell you…are you listening?

Lean in closely.

It isn’t the camera, but…

Ditto Hoorahs… I must say, since I started reading you, Heather, my photos are improving by osmosis. The shots of my new baby’s first grins are MUCH more interesting than the shots of the middle two. I’m getting better.

Still not great, but good enough that my professional photographer SIL says “Hey, not bad”, my mother says, “I have cute grandbabies,” and my MIL says “Sigh. She’s an odd girl, who takes weird-angled pictures, but she gives me cute grandbabies, at least.”

Mrs. Wilson – Thank ya…it was fun guest posting!

Rebecca – :::clap::: right back atcha

Liz C. – I laughed out loud at “She’s an odd girl, who takes weird-angled pictures, but she gives me cute grandbabies, at least.” That is one of those times you say, “Thank you…I think?!”

I love my MIL, but sometimes she doesn’t know what to do with me. :) The one time she worked up the courage to very gently ask how I was doing with my “weight problem,” I grinned at her and said, “MIL, I don’t have a weight ‘problem’… I’m just fat.”

For a very genteel Southern lady, my Pacific Northwest Redneck Blunt can be a bit… much.

But she loves me anyhow. Because of those cute grandbabies.
