It’s time for the friendly neighborhood reminder that there is a SWAP that will cease sign-ups in exactly 12 hours. Yep, at midnight (CST) you will no longer be able to sign up for the February-March 2008 Tote Swap.

You can get all the details at the link above, but believe me, you don’t want to live this one vicariously through the group’s photo pool. Nope, jump in – it’s a tote for crying out loud; it won’t bite.

If it does, you can return it.

So, as I’ve been thinking about the style of tote I want (you provide suggestions for your swap buddie, so they can learn your sense of style), I wasted window-shopped at least an hour at Etsy last night.

I swear to you, there were bags CALLING MY NAME. No, really…they were. This one particular bag made all sorts of promises – stinkin’ night owl.

And not only that, but they were all so complimentary.

“Hello OMSH, would you like to select a fabric?”

“OMSH, do you always have such great taste, or only when you clicked on me?”

“Oh my goodness OMSH, your eyes would look so good against my interior lining?”

Er…thanks?

But this one in particular had me in its grip. I think there was some kind of subliminal connection. I could hardly move away from the page. Oh, and it wasn’t the compliment either, because I wasn’t even WEARING pants.

How I pulled away from that store is beyond me, but I did. Being an organization maniac, I was soon drawn to the utilitarian approach of this tote at jlife.

And oh my, I truly FELT a special kinship with this one. Indeed.

I ended up spending quite a bit of time with this one – no pretense there.

So see, there are so many totes to inspire. What? Nothing stirs your heart?
