Trampoline on Ice
|18.Jan.2007Tomorrow my two oldest go back to school. This is a good thing. Without the ability to escape outdoors into the refreshing, therapeutic sun’s warmth, we started to sound like an episode of The Simpson’s.
Which brings me to another question. Homeschooling. We did it once. We were planning to do it again next school year. Why? Can someone remind me why?
Kidding aside, I know – we have a list of very strong reasons why we have considered homeschooling again. But after these few short days, I realize I have a few good reasons not to homeschool – yes, even when I put all my selfish notions aside; even then.
But I digress. I was talking about the weather. The weather that kept us indoors – on top of each other – while listening to “STOP IT!” “LEAVE ME ALONE!” “MOM! HE IS STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!”
I’m so pissy. Must go to bed. New day tomorrow.

I must say that it has been nice to have some quiet around here, since puttin gmy in school this semester. I’m also getting a lot done around my house. In response to your coment about it – Remember, Kenny was much younger then and every thing/dynamic changes with each year.

I admire school teachers a lot and families who homeschool even more; I haven’t got the patience for teaching, let alone for teaching my own kids. For us, public schooling isn’t just a method of education, it’s also an integral part of our life preservation plan. :P
